SECTION 55. Continuous consolidation of the general statutes; counsel; exempt from civil service

Latest version.

The said counsel shall not be deemed to be executive or administrative officers within the meaning of the constitution, but shall serve directly under the general court. They and their assistants shall not be subject to chapter thirty-one.
