SECTION 9. Cooperation with federal surveys of waters, etc.

The governor and council shall co-operate in behalf of the commonwealth in all scientific surveys made by the United States government of harbors, rivers, shores or waters within the commonwealth, and shall represent the commonwealth in relation to such surveys, and protect its interests therein.
