SECTION 7. Penalty for false affixation of stamps

Any person knowingly making a false affixation of stamps on deeds or other instruments provided for by this chapter for the purpose of defrauding the commonwealth shall be punished by a fine of not less than five hundred dollars nor more than one thousand dollars, or by imprisonment for not more than one year, or both.
