SECTION 72. Temporary treasurer; bond

If the treasurer is prevented from performing his official duties, or if the office is vacant, the prudential committee may in writing appoint a temporary treasurer, who shall give a bond in like manner as the treasurer and shall hold his office until another is chosen.
