SECTION 28. Last day for registration

They shall hold a continuous session from nine o'clock ante meridian until eight o'clock in the evening on the last day for registration prescribed under section twenty-six; provided, however, that in towns having less than fifteen hundred voters, such session shall be sufficient if it includes the time from two to four o'clock in the afternoon and from seven to eight o'clock in the evening.
