SECTION 10. Assessors or standing committee; election; tenure

The assessors or standing committee may be elected for such term, not exceeding three years, as the parish or religious society may by vote or by-law prescribe, and the vote or by-law may provide that the term of office of the assessors or members of the standing committee may expire in different years.
