SECTION 71. Orange clothing while hunting

A person shall not, during the open season when deer may be hunted lawfully with a shotgun, hunt or enter the woodlands of the commonwealth for the purpose of hunting unless he wears in a conspicuous manner or his chest, back and head a minimum of five hundred square inches of clothing or material of a hunter orange color which meets such requirements as the director may by rules and regulations establish. This section shall not apply to any person engaged in waterfowl hunting from within a blind or from a boat.
