CHAPTER 94. INSPECTION AND SALE OF FOOD, DRUGS AND VARIOUS ARTICLES |
SECTION 120. License; acting without; application; fee

No person shall engage in the slaughter of livestock or poultry unless he has obtained a license from the department. No person shall process or manufacture meat or meat food products, poultry or poultry products, in an establishment unless he has obtained a license from the department. Persons engaged in the business of slaughter or meat or meat food processing or poultry or poultry processing, shall apply annually for a license. Such application shall be signed and sworn to by one or more of the owners or persons carrying on such business or if a corporation, by an authorized officer thereof. Such person shall state the name and address of all owners or persons carrying on said business except in the case of a corporation, the names and addresses of the officers of such corporation, and the location of said establishment or such other information as the commissioner may require. The fee for a license issued by the department shall be determined annually by the commissioner of administration under the provision of section three B of chapter seven.
