SECTION 39. Receipt and accountability of town standards and seal

Latest version.

Except as otherwise provided in section thirty-six each sealer shall receive from his town treasurer a set of standards and a seal, and shall give a receipt therefor, stating their condition when received; and shall be accountable to such town for the preservation thereof in like condition until returned to the treasurer.
