SECTION 33. Foreign guardian or conservator; license to sell realty of ward

If a person who resides out of the commonwealth is under guardianship or conservatorship in the state or country where he resides and has no guardian or conservator appointed in this commonwealth, the foreign guardian or conservator may file an authenticated copy of his appointment in the probate court for any county where there is real estate of the ward; after which upon petition he may be licensed to sell, mortgage or lease the real estate of the ward in any county, for the purposes, in the manner and upon the terms provided in this chapter for a guardian or conservator appointed in this commonwealth, except as provided in the following section.
