SECTION 12. License to guardian of spendthrift; notice

No license to sell real estate shall be granted to the guardian of a spendthrift who resides in the commonwealth unless seven days notice of the petition therefor has been given to the department of transitional assistance. Such notice may be served upon any member of said board or department.
